Depression is a medical condition that gives you Negative emotions, Hurt feelings, Deprivation of joy in life, people lost interest in daily activities, Feeling worthless, Poor decision making and trouble focusing your goals, And the extreme conditions can lead to suicidal thoughts.
We being Human are a social animal and that means we can’t live happily without being socially active.
Currently, World’s circumstances (COVID-19) have lead people of the majority of countries in a situation where people don’t have a choice to meetups and move in their personal and professional circles. Offices and educational institutes are off. Shopping malls, cinemas, Markets, Parks restaurants are shutdown. There is no place of entertainment left.
People are lockdown in the houses and they get bored easily due to monotonous routines. Some people who couldn’t find anything to do with their lives start falling in depression. Here we give you Ideas to understand the current scenario and make your life work according to it.
1-Make your mind
The most important factor is to accept reality and react according to it. You have to admit the circumstances are changed now and these are not in your hand, you are not the reason for it and you have nothing to do with it. All you can do is to make the best out of you as you have plenty of time to do the stuff and remember this is the TIME you have been always complaining that you don’t have. Now If you have it please go for it.
2-Start your Day Early
Late sleeping habits and then afternoon wakeups are very bad for physical and mental health. As it disturbs the body hormones and hormones play a very important role to maintain our emotions. if hormones get disturbed so it does the same with the emotions.
Stay Tidy, Streamline your work either you are doing your office work from home or you are doing your house chores.
Set small goals, divide your work over hours, days and weeks priority vice. This way you can do things more productively without being hasty. Stay focus on the goals to achieve in a decided time limit.
4-Be Regular in our Excercise/Workouts/Yoga
Regular exercise will keep you sane mentally and physically during these days of Isolation. You don’t need a gym or heavy equipment with a trained master. You can use your treadmill at home or even you can jog in one place and if you have an open terrace, rooftop or an open backyard you should spend your time in an open-air because staying in the same room or dark will give you depression only. Keep walking the majority of the day if you spare time out of work. Yoga is said to be a medicine to cure your mind and its illness. You can read and learn yoga during quarantine as it is the best time to learn it. There is an extensive literature is available online about yoga for beginners if you are new to it.
5-Do Chores and Errands
Help yourself! is the most heard phrase but these days you should be helpful for others in your home and out your home.
you are already doing your work it would be great if you share the burden of other family members. Because everyone is at home and women of the house are overburdened because many of them are performing personal and professional duties tirelessly in the absence of house help. Be Empathetic to them. It will give you a sense of accomplishment.
The second most important work you can do for people out of your home is to keep an eye if anyone is getting fail to fulfill his necessities of life, make sure to help them out. It will spiritually heal you and your depression.
6-Find and Artist. INSIDE YOU! Discover;
If you left with some spare time and don’t have any other choice except sleeping, DON’T DO IT. As Research says oversleeping could lead you multiple problems obesity is one of them. Every one of us has unique abilities and those are hidden in us, we barely get time to discover them in our routine days. Its time, to get up and find out them.you are the one who knows your field of interests. You can read books, books are an amazing partner, write your diary, its the best thing to express your feeling. Depression comes when you stop sharing your feelings and it becomes a pile of bad thoughts that sicken you from the core of your mind.
If you feel calm with music, play it on around you often.
You can cook/bake the favorite recipes and get appreciation from others while giving them a bit of your taste.
Learn new things, if you have plenty of time and potential to learn, Learn, build a skill and make a thing and share it with others. Do drawings, painting, and sketching if it is your thing. You can satisfy your mind and fingers in stitching a piece of cloth or doing crochet work for your loved ones.
Try one of these if not all just to jump out of this “Isolation depression” because it is new in town and we are gonna defeat it soon by the will of God.
